Sault Ste. Marie Airport Development Corporation

The Sault Ste. Marie Airport Development Corporation (SSMADC), an independent, not-for-profit, community based entity incorporated on April 26, 1996, and took over ownership and operation of the Airport on March 28, 1998. Since assuming ownership of the Sault Ste. Marie Airport from the Federal Government the SSMADC has elevated the standards of air travel. The Sault airport is one of only two in Canada to function independently of municipal or regional oversight.
