Software & Tech Awards 2020 | 27 Oct20543 Software & Tech Awards 2020 | Best Business Intelligence Platform 2020 Established in 2011, DueDil is a business intelligence platform that delivers insight on more than 50 million companies and the people behind them. Recently, we caught up with the firm’s CEO, Justin Fitzpatrick, to find out more about the success behind one of the best business intelligence platforms available on the market today. elling the story behind every business, DueDil helps to create a future where it is easier for companies of all sizes to make decisions and move fast. To begin, Justin dives straight in providing us with a detailed insight into the firm and its history, as well as touching on the clients they serve. “When we first started up DueDil, there were few technology-led solutions available to help understand what was happening with the 99.9% of companies that were private. This lack of transparency and understanding was particularly bad when it came to the millions of small and medium enterprises that contribute so much to our economy. Not understanding SME’s creates all kinds of problems, both for the SME’s and the economy as a whole. One of the biggest we found was that they needed to access financial services and they were often unable to do so quickly or at competitive rates. This was because financial services providers found it too costly and difficult to understand their business. Today, DueDil works with hundreds of clients to quickly and safely onboard their customers with a level of understanding that wasn’t possible before.” Prior to DueDil, the solutions that existed in the market were largely provided by an oligopoly of credit bureaus. Naturally, these solutions made it difficult to meet market requirements as the information offered was provided in static forms. Moreover, as Justin goes on to explain, this presented an opportunity to the firm from which it was able to thrive from. “DueDil was the first cloud native and API led provider in the market which used technology to build The DueDil Business Information Graph (B.I.G.)™. The B.I.G. ingests billions of data points a day on millions of companies and connects the dots between companies, directors, and shareholders, surfacing more than 270m connections. 45% of the information in the B.I.G. can’t be found anywhere else and this allows us to provide insight on SME’s that is accurate, dynamic, and contextualised. By staying close to our clients there are always more opportunities to help them and we are always pushing our product forward to meet these demands.” Regarding the firm’s internal culture, much of it evolves around team spirit and to ensure this is not harmed in any way, the firm typically look to hire people who possess the right kind of personal qualities, which Justin is keen to touch upon. Following the outbreak of Coronavirus, SME’s in particular have realised that they need automation to be able to thrive in a post COVID-19 economy. When discussing the topic, Justin points out how the services the competition offer, has had a positive impact on DueDil’s workload. “The first wave of digital transformation has been about doing things faster and cheaper than the manual, paper-based processes that have T dominated previously. Financial services providers have approached SME’s with one size fits all propositions for too long and we’ve seen how the combination of data and technology has made financial services much more competitive and personalised for consumers. SME’s are now demanding the same thing, and there are solutions such as DueDil that can deliver that”. Bringing the interview to a close, Justin signs off by envisioning what the future holds for DueDil, highlighting how the team will continue to provide their extraordinary service which saw them earn the accolade Best Business Intelligence Platform 2020: DueDil in the Software and Technology Awards 2020. “Going forward, we are working on a set of enhancements to our product that help our clients understand and manage their exposure throughout their relationship with their SME customer.” Company: DueDil Contact: Justin Fitzpatrick Website: www.duedil.com
