One big dance family, the MFM Dance Studio delivers a range of great classes and is both a second home to its students and an environment where they build friendships that will last a lifetime. At the helm of MFM Dance Studio are co-directors Sharon Parillo and her daughter, Danielle McCabe. Sharon took over the studio when her mother, the infamous Mary Flynn Murphy, retired after owning and running the business for four decades. Danielle, joined the teaching staff at the age of 20 and as the business manager approximately 5 years ago. Mary’s great granddaughter, Carly, is in her 8th year of dancing at the studio making her the fourth generation to dance within these walls. This studio is truly a family venture. Members of the teaching staff have an impressive background in dance and beyond. Some of their accomplishments include competing at world championships, performed in several productions, becoming Boston Celtics cheerleaders, judging competitions, founding and directing dance companies, and even danced for the likes of films, TV shows, and at the Super bowl. One of their truly special classes is their Wiggle Worms Program where an adult gets to dance each week in class with their young one. It’s a great experience for bonding and growth for little moves under 3 years old and their adult! It’s also a wonderful way for parents to make new playdate friends in a family oriented environment! Much of the success that individuals enjoy after leaving the MFM Dance Studio can be attributed to the professional nature of its classes, with attendance being prioritized and students encouraged to wear the correct clothes and shoes. This instils within students the discipline that it takes to be a dancer from a young age, something that the professional teaching team also fully understand given their backgrounds. Of course, this is not to say that sessions are not incredibly fun, and children love the diverse and inclusive nature of these classes, which afford time and attention to every person so that they may reach their full potential. Parents are equally fond of The MFM Dance Studio, as not only are the tuition fees highly affordable, but parents are offered a parent portal for easy access to all information and payment options. The office staff is always very friendly, helpful, and easily reachable! Parents are also invited into the classroom twice a season for watch weeks to view their child’s progress!
